Your Renovation Cleanup Experts
At Copper State Junk Removal & Hauling, we’re passionate about helping homeowners make eco-friendly choices during their renovation projects. Remodeling doesn’t have to mean waste—and with just a little planning, you can ensure that usable materials stay out of the landfill and go on to help others.
We work closely with Habitat for Humanity ReStore and other local partners to donate items that still have life left in them.
Tips for Keeping Usable Items Intact
Plan ahead before demo day. If you think an item (like cabinets or shelving) could be donated, take extra care when removing it. A little patience during removal goes a long way toward keeping it usable.
Unscrew and disassemble carefully. Remove cabinets, doors, shelving, and fixtures gently instead of smashing or cutting them apart.
Keep items dry and protected. Avoid leaving reusable materials in the yard or where they can get damaged by rain, dirt, or pets.
Separate reusable items from debris. Make a dedicated pile (or area) for good-condition items like:
Cabinets and hardware
Shelving
Sinks, toilets, and vanities (in clean, damage-free condition)
Lighting fixtures
Interior doors
Flooring that can be reused
Don’t mix trash with donatable goods. Once reusable items are mixed with trash or hazardous debris, they’re harder (or impossible) to salvage.
